SYMPTOMS
========

When you attempt to connect to MSN, The Microsoft Network, you may receive the
following error message:

   Guide.exe caused an invalid page fault in module Mpccl.dll.

CAUSE
=====

The Guide.exe or Mpccl.dll file may be damaged.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, run the Newcore.exe and Msn13.exe files from the MSN 2.0
CD-ROM. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Insert the MSN 2.0 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. If the Auto Insert
   Notification option is turned on, close the Welcome To MSN window that opens
   on the desktop.

2. Double-click My Computer.

3. Right-click the CD-ROM drive icon, and then click Explore.

4. Double-click the Msnsetup folder.

5. Double-click the Compnts folder.

6. Double-click the Newcore.exe file.

7. Double-click the Msn13.exe file.

8. Follow the instructions on the screen. When you are prompted to restart the
   computer, click Yes.
