The replacement file provides additional enhancements to the original STORE.DLL file, resolving the following problems: - When you run version 3.0b of Microsoft Mail for Windows on a PC- NFS(R) file server, the Mail Message File (MMF) becomes corrupted and prevents you from sending and reading mail messages. - The MMF recovery feature of version 3.0b or 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for Windows does not work when the MMF is on a Novell(R) file server and you do not have File Scan permissions for the Mail database. - The manual MMF recovery and compression features of version 3.0b or 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for Windows do not work when you run the OS/2(R) Presentation Manager(R) (PM) client. When you start the MMF recovery or compression feature by holding down the SHIFT or F5 key, respectively, the computer hangs after the recovery or compression process finishes. To resolve this problem, the progress indicator is no longer displayed while the recovery or compression feature is running. The indicator is still displayed when you run Microsoft Mail for Windows. - Sending Schedule+ for Windows meeting requests with the user's MMF stored on a PC-NFS file server eventually fails with the error message "Schedule file is locked." - Folder export fails if the destination drive filled up during an attachment copy; however, no error appears and the export leaves an unusable message in the exported folder. Once the message is imported, that message is unreadable. To replace your STORE.DLL File ------------------------------ 1. Insert the enclosed WA0723 disk in your floppy disk drive. 2. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER copy :\store.dll where is the floppy disk drive containing the WA0723 disk and is the drive and directory where your STORE.DLL file currently resides. This directory should also contain the Microsoft Mail for Windows SETUP.EXE program. For example, if STORE.DLL is located in the MAILEXE directory on drive C and the WA0723 disk is in drive A, type the following command: copy a:\store.dll c:\mailexe A message will be displayed stating: 1 file(s) copied. This indicates that your STORE.DLL file has been successfully replaced. 3. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER copy \setup.inf \setupinf.old where is the complete path to the directory containing the Microsoft Mail for Windows SETUP.EXE program. For example, if SETUP.EXE is located in the MAILEXE directory on drive C, type the following command: copy c:\mailexe\setup.inf c:\mailexe\setupinf.old A message will be displayed stating: 1 file(s) copied. This indicates that your SETUP.INF file has been successfully copied. 4. Using any text editor, edit the SETUP.INF file.
