Special Episode 8: Miles "Tails" Prower (Part One)

Note: I tried to waive this fanfiction, but none of you were interested. I suppose since I was the person, who came up with this idea, it is true that I should just write it myself.

Sonic: Ooh, and it's probably gonna end poorly!

All right fine, I will. But I like this idea, just like I said I did. No flames please, because I'll just end up ignoring you. This fanfiction is called Miles "Tails" Prower, and takes place completely in Tails's point of view.

Tails: It's probably a different Tails, because that's definitely not me.
Miyuki: It's probably your evil shadow clone called "Prower".
Tails: Miyuki, no.
Miyuki: Okay, okay. "Prowler."
Tails: No!

You remember how that Shadow the Hedgehog game kind of did the same for Shadow? That's why I just named this fanfiction Tails's whole name.

Manic: And your inspiration for this fic is "Shadow the Hedgehog"? That game?! Oh, this is gonna suck...

Miles "Tails" Prower

Amy: Unless you're reading it on its original location... then it's just called "Miles Tails Prower".

Prologue

Sonia: At least that word's spelled correctly.

For a long time now, Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends were considered to be the strongest creatures in their world. But... that doesn't necessarily mean that any of them aren't underestimated.

Out of all of Sonic and his friends, only one has been underestimated the most. It is the two-tailed, yellow and white fox. Most widely known as Miles "Tails" Prower, but everyone just calls him Tails because of his two tails.

Manic: If you went into the Sonic section with knowledge of the Sonic characters and suddenly got amnesia when you clicked on that link... this is there.

Miles "Tails" Prower has been called, and been proven, to be just as smart as Doctor Robotnik, or Doctor Eggman as Sonic and the others call him. Tails has proven this, mostly, with his knowledge in aircraft's and other machines.

Tails: Um... I know. I should know myself.
Sonic: But how well do you know yourself?

But, despite all that, Tails is still poorly underestimated, sometimes he's even underestimated by his own friends! Which is just sad.

Akiko: And terrible.

But, little does Tails, Sonic, and everyone know… that a new threat is approaching Sonic and his friends. This threat is probably one of the worst they've had yet. But… soon… Tails will find something that will significantly increase his confidence in himself, and maybe something else.

Tomoko: Like his soon to be Stu abilities.

He'll prove, once and for all, to everyone, and even to his friends, probably to himself as well, that he's never to be underestimated ever again. He'll do whatever it takes, even if it mean's taking on his own friends and showing them, firsthand, that he's not to be underestimated ever again.

Akiko: He's gonna beat up his own friends? Excuse me, how is that supposed to make him the protagonist?
Sonia: Because this fic said so. Also, don't you...
Akiko: That's different! That's sparring!
Amy: For the most part.
Miyuki: Criminy. How many times was "underestimated" used?
Tails: Six. I have a feeling that we're going to see that word a lot.

Sonia: This note won't matter, because every chapter is up.

Anyway, you ready?

Tomoko: No.
Manic: Too bad.

Because here's Chapter 1!

Chapter 1: The Strange Weapon...

Tails was in his hand-built airplane, the Tornado, flying over Mystic Ruin heading toward the ruin.

Amy: *sarcastically* No, really? I thought that the Mystic Ruins was a theme park!

Tails was thinking to himself about what he was going to do there.

"Supposedly there's supposed to be a secret entrance near that ruin to a secret cavern. In that cavern, there's supposed to be some kind of item or weapon or something that supposedly has tremendous power" thought Tails

Miyuki: *as Tails* And with that power, there will be bad fight scenes to go along with it!
Sonic: Bad fight scenes? Wait a second. Did you read ahead, Akiko?
Akiko: Wait, there are bad fight scenes? *grabs the fic, flips through the pages* Oh. Oh... wow. Yeah, this scene's kinda... bad.

Tails landed the Tornado in front of the ruins steps and got out of the Tornado and quickly ran up the steps.

"I'm actually excited. I wonder what this item or weapon is like? I can't wait!" thought Tails

Tails: I'm sorry, but if it's a weapon that I don't know about... I wouldn't happily run up to it. I'd analyze it first.
Tomoko: This ain't you, Prower. Well, not the you who has a working brain.

Tails started searching all around the ruin for the secret entrance, but, Tails found nothing.

Manic: Sounds like this fic's plot so far.
Sonia: It's only the first chapter, Manic.

"Man! Where the heck could the entrance be!" wondered Tails

As Tails kept walking, he stepped onto something, he could tell, because he heard something from underneath him snap. Tails just stood there with a sweatdrop on the back of his head.

Amy: This fic will be so anime that it'll hurt.

"Ahhh... crap" thought Tails

The ground beneath him crumbled and Tails fell through the hole

"Ahhhhhhhhh!" screamed Tails

Sonic: And he didn't fly because...?

Soon enough, Tails notice he was about to hit the ground, so Tails quickly spinned his two tails and he was able to fly and prevent himself from hitting the ground hard with his tails spinning in a helicopter-esque blade.

Sonic: Never mind.

Tails landed safely and quickly hid, why? Because he noticed that Eggman's robot were everywhere.

Akiko: Well, that was sudden. Guess we needed the random mook squad.

"Uhh... figures. It just figures that Eggman would be here in hopes to use the item, weapon, or whatever it is for his stupid Eggman Empire plan" realized Tails

Tails wanted to go after Eggman in an attempt to stop Eggman from using the item, weapon, or whatever for evil, but Tails didn't think he was strong enough to destroy Eggman's robots with his own two hands. He started to try to leave to go get help from Sonic and Knuckles, but then he realized something.

Manic: That this plot's gonna go down a hole?

"No... I can't... It's true I probably don't stand a chance against those robots, but I can't, I shouldn't, and I won't cower away and ask for help from Sonic and Knuckles.

Tails: At least it's not my "Sonic Forces" self, so thank goodness for that.
Amy: Yep. It's just gonna be worse than that.

I've relied on them to help me for WAY to long. I have to do this by myself, without help from Sonic or anyone else" decided Tails

Everyone except Tomoko: *singing* I wanna fly high, so I can reach the highest of all the heavens...

Tails wouldn't allow himself to be beaten easily, without a fight.

Everyone except Tomoko: *singing* Somebody will be waiting for me, so I have got to fly higher...

Que: "Sinister Sundown" (Kingdom Hearts 2)

All: *flatly* What.
Tails: Hey, wait! What the heck is this?
Sonic, Manic: *cracking up*
Tomoko: Is this crap a songfic? Is this "edgy" crap a songfic?
Miyuki: *stifling a laugh* Ooh, boy! "Believe in Myself" wasn't good enough for this fic, I guess!
Sonia: Also... "que"? It's supposed to be "queue". "Que" just means "what" in Spanish.

Tails surprised one of the robots that had its back turned to him, and he kickspringed it into another robot destroying both easily. The robots noticed him now, and tried to shoot him, but Tails quickly started flying and dodged the bullets. He flew towards the robots, kicking one into the wall, punching one through its chest, cutting another in half, horizontally, with his tails, and kicking, punching, and throwing other robots into other robots. There were still to many, though, so Tails started running through the ruin, sometimes flying to get over long gaps, which caused him to lose a few of the robots.

Sonic: I guess Tails got some super martial arts skills between... something...? What, he doesn't have his machinery or his technical bag of tricks?
Tails: Edge requirement, Sonic.

Eventually, Tails saw a door that was opened and it seemed like it had something in it, so Tails quickly ran in, and the door closed behind him after he got in!

End Music

All: *flatly* What.
Sonia: ...I've riffed way too many fics in my life now.

Tails looked around the area, and then Tails went speechless.

To the left of him, there was Eggman, who seemed to have been knocked out by someone or something. Tails wasn't sure if this was a trap or not, so he carefully approached Eggman, and Eggman still didn't move. Tails poked, and shook Eggman, still nothing. Tails checked Eggman's pulse, it was still going. So Eggman was alive, but just unconscious.

All: *with dunce caps on their heads*
Tails: Duh.

Then... a voice that seemed to appear out of nowhere talked directly to Tails's mind.

Miyuki: *as the voice* Leave the Bronx. We have housing available for you in New Mexico.

"That fool of a man thought he could use me, but he couldn't and he won't. He's to evil, plus, he's not the one." informed the voice

"What do you mean?" asked Tails

"This weapon can only be used by a specific person, or a chosen one, I guess you could say..." informed the voice

"How did you knock him out?" asked Tails

"I simply blew him away with my energy and the wall did the rest..." informed the voice

Akiko: He's evil, but you blew him away. Huh?
Amy: Evil's only okay when you're "good". Bad writing says so.

"I see..." commented Tails

"You are here to see if you can use this weapon, as well, are you not?" asked the voice

Akiko: *as Tails* Yeah, now give me your power so I can make some bad fight scenes! Let's go!

Tails was shocked that this "voice" knew why Tails was there, so Tails was speechless and didn't say anything.

Tomoko: Putting that 300 IQ to work, eh, Not-Prower?

"If you are... approach the altar..." suggested the voice. Tails did.

Miyuki: And now you're married to the sword. Congratulations, Miles "Tails" Evil Sword!
Tails: I'm not going to bother.

The weapon wasn't much, but there were two of them, both of them were the same, though.

Amy: Wait, we were told that there was one sword, now there are two of them?
Sonia: One of them just sprouted like a plant when that conversation took place.

They looked like daggers, but the handle was connected to a circle that surrounded the handle, probably to prevent the hand from being attacked when used, and to block attacks; it was silver in color. The blade was light orange that glowed. It kind of looked like a laser blade or something.

Sonic: *flatly* Ow, the edge. I'm bleeding.

"If you want to see if you are the correct wielder for this, put your left hand on the top weapons handle and your right hand on the bottom weapons handle" informed the voice

"Wait, what if I'm not the correct wielder? Will I end up like Eggman?" asked Tails

Manic: Dude, the fic has your name on it. Pick up the dumb swords and get it over with.

"Well, just by you standing there, I can tell that your kind. I only did that to that man because I could sense he was evil. So, no, you won't, but, you WILL still get blasted by my energy, sorry..." informed the voice

Sonia: *as the voice* Also, if you do decide to step up and get blasted by my energy, I have created a waiver with your mental signature, so you can't sue me in court.

Tails gulped, gathered his courage, and did as the voice instructed him to, Tails just didn't care anymore, and besides, you never know.

Tomoko: "And besides, you never know." *sarcastically* Grade A writing here.

The weapon's power blew past him, but didn't blow Tails away, the power then updraft and blew Tails's fur up like there was a fan underneath him. Tails closed his eyes hard and clenched his teeth together.

"Interesting... you are the one..." informed the voice.

All of a sudden, a huge gust of wind appeared from the back of the shrine and blew Tails all the way out of the ruin. Tails landed outside the ruin, in front of the Tornado.

Amy: Did he leave a cave or the Mistralton City Gym?

When Tails stood up, he noticed he now had a blue belt on that had pouches on the left and right side of his waist that held the weapons.

Tails took out the weapons, and there they were, in living color.

Miyuki: *singing* You can do what you wanna do...

Tails couldn't believe it, he was speechless.

Things were only starting to get interesting now...

Tails: You mean "worse". They were starting to get worse.

P.S.: Don't ask me why I used that song, I guess I like it too much, I guess. I don't have a MIDI for you to listen to it, so if you want to hear it, you'll have to get it from bluelaguna or something, sorry... /.

Tomoko: I don't want it. Keep your damn music.

Chapter 2: Maybe Sonic can't be trusted...

Sonia, Manic, Amy, Tails: *stares at Sonic*
Sonic: What?

Tails wasn't sure what to say, or what to think for that matter.

Akiko: Yeah, Tails with swords wouldn't really make much sense.
Tails: This fic is pretty much saying that I'm terrible without those game breaking swords! My mechanical skills aren't enough?
Manic: Who needs brains when you have the edge?

Tails put his weapons back in their pouches, then got in his Tornado and flew back to his workshop.

By the time Tails got back to his workshop, believe it or not, it was already late, and the sun was setting, so Tails decided to start back up again tomorrow, and he did just that.

Tomoko: *flatly* Whee.

The next morning...

Tails exited his workshop and started to head for the train to go to Station Square, but he was stopped.

"There you are Tails!" yelled a female voice that seemed pretty furious.

Tails already knew who it was. Tails turned around and there she was, the pink hedgehog also known as Amy Rose.

"I've got a couple of questions for you Tails!" announced Amy

Amy: *as herself* My first question... how badly am I gonna be treated in this fic? I mean, my so called "relatives" keep treating me like dirt. Stupid Kathryn. Stupid Sasha...

"Before you even ask it, I don't know where Sonic is" informed Tails

"Liar!" accused Amy

Tails was shocked at this, and he thought Amy was crazy.

Sonia: Oh, dear heavens. Her "Sonic Battle" self is here.
Tomoko: Good. She can go hallucinate that hedgehog and leave.

"What are you talking about? I'm telling the truth!" assured Tails

"Oh, yeah, I'm sure you are..." sarcastically remarked Amy, she then continued "You went somewhere in your Tornado yesterday, correct?" asked Amy

"Yeah...so?" asked Tails

"Well..." started Amy "Yesterday, I saw my darling Sonic so, as usual, I followed him.

Miyuki: Or stalked him.
Manic: I riffed "My Real Love" with Tails and Rory. Stalking's a "good" thing in that fic.
Akiko: *shudders*

I noticed that you were in the air in you airplane, and also noticed that Sonic was following you. It seemed like you didn't know that Sonic was following you, but, I don't question my darling Sonic's motives."

Tails was shocked and speechless after hearing what Amy said and Tails thought to himself.

"Sonic... how could you! Do you seriously think I'm THAT weak that I can't handle something by myself! I can't believe you! Maybe I should stop trusting people that much..." thought Tails

Tails: Or maybe he was going to a different location? Sonic's not attached to my hip.
Sonic: We'd make some weird conjoined twins.

Amy snapped Tails out of his thoughts.

"Then I saw Sonic follow you into the woods, but those woods are way to scary.

Akiko: Besides, she'd just trip over a bush and rip her dress. Kyo-chan told me about that.

So I decided to just wait until you came back to get you to tell me where my darling Sonic is." informed Amy.

Tails quickly got serious and looked seriously at Amy.

Manic: Super serious.
Sonia: More serious than it's ever been.

"Look Amy, Sonic didn't follow me into where I went, that's all there is to it" informed Tails

"Yeah, well, I don't believe you. Sonic, basically, follows you everywhere, and since you won't tell me where my darling Sonic is peacefully, I'll have to force the information out of you!" declared Amy as she pulled out her Piko Piko Hammer and got in her fighting stance.

Miyuki: Well. Better set your battle patterns up.
Tomoko: Why bother? He's just gonna curbstomp her.

Amy was going way over the line, and Tails knew it. Tails took out his new weapons and bent his knees with his left leg out in front and his right leg behind him on his right foot's tiptoes. Tails held his weapons horizontally, with the left weapon out in front of his chest, pointing right, and his right weapon out in front of his stomach, pointing left. This, apparently, was Tails's new fighting stance with his new weapons.

All: Did Benji write this?
Tails: If that's everyone's first thought... you're doing it wrong.

This... should be interesting...

Amy: No, it won't.
Tails: Am I going to hate this fic?
Amy: I know I will.

P.S.: Okay... Amy is seriously freaking crazy if she'll go that far to find out where Sonic is... OO;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Sonic: Uh... you wrote it, guy. You're really gonna blame your bad writing on Amy?
Manic: Yep. He's perfect, bro.
Sonia: If you have to blame a fictional character, that's a sure sign that you need to stop.
Akiko: It's never their fault, huh?
Miyuki: Taking responsibility for your own actions? That's for losers.
