Chapter 5 (Cilan POV)

"No…NO…NOOOOOOO!" Topaz cried out as we reached the entrance of Chargestone cave.

Miyuki: I think that Sonia and some other pink hedgehog named Amy had the same reaction.
Sonia, Amy: Don't remind me!

"Oh come on it's the quickest way through to get to Mistralton city" Pearl replied as he continued to walk in.

Sonia: No, it's the only way to get to Mistralton City.

"Yeah but there are… scary Pokémon in there" Topaz whined as a look of horror crossed her face.

Tomoko: *angrily whips Topaz with her chains* Shut up! Shut up and suck it up, you spineless wimp!
Miyuki: Careful, Tomoko. Someone might find that hot.
Tomoko: *stares at Miyuki* Ironic that that statement just came from you, Fujiwara.

"Don't worry we will be here to protect you" I responded as a light blush crossed my face. "CILAN" Topaz cried out as she ran to cling to me, this in turn making my blush deepen to a darker red.

Benimaru: *sighs, takes a few pieces from the cheese tray* I have nothing amusing to say. I'm just annoyed with all of the cheesy love stuff and blushing here.

"Okay enough let's get going" Pearl sighed as he dragged Topaz in by the collar. I had noticed for the last while that Pearl doesn't like when Topaz and I are alone together, I assume he has realized my feelings towards her and I was well aware of his.

Tomoko: Because that horny brat has ignored Pearl and treated him like a damn third wheel this whole time. She doesn't care about him.
Sonia: Wait... so it is a stupid love triangle.
Benimaru: *facepalms* Just what we didn't need.

Either or it still didn't seem to affect our friendship but I'm sure something will happen when one of us tells her.

Sonia: Oh, nobody's going to tell him anything. They're just going to dance around it like a bunch of high school morons.

The cave was more amazing then I could imagine, there were glowing blue rocks almost like crystals.

Miyuki: *places a dunce cap on Sonia's head*
Sonia: *scowls at the screen* Get your hands off of me, you pod person.
Miyuki: Oops.
Sonia: Not you, Miyuki.

They were charged with electricity and due to that there is a lot of electric type Pokémon around, though I knew that Topaz was in fear of a certain Pokémon Galvantula.

Miyuki: Because all girls must like cute Pokémon and only cute Pokémon.

The whole time Topaz was clinging to me, I could see the anger in Pearls face. This was all so confusing, I have been in love with her since we have met and truthfully I believe she feels the same.

Benimaru: *falls asleep*
Sonia: Well, that did it.

I know she cares a lot about Pearl I can tell by the way she acts and worries about him, but the thing is I don't know how she feels about him and that has been really bothering me.

Tomoko: *irritated* Oh my -- for shit's sake! Somebody say something!

"Cilan is something wrong?" Topaz asked as she looked up at me with an adorable look on her face.

Miyuki: Yes, two things are wrong. One... Topaz can get out. Two... end this fic.
Sonia: Miyuki, that's a list of demands.
Miyuki: Oh. Well. Number one... Topaz still exists. Number two... this fic's still going. How's that?
Sonia: Much better.

"Oh nothing I am just wondering how to get out of here…" I responded.

Benimaru: *wakes up* Crap. Did I miss anything?
Tomoko: Nope.
Benimaru: Damn. Anyway, tell them to get a shovel.

"I don't know this place is really big and I really don't like caves" she responded as Pearl released a Pokémon.

Tomoko: *scoffs* Wuss. I would've left her in the cave.

"Go Raylord" Pearl shouted as his Luxray appeared. "What's going on?" I asked "Trouble" he responded as a group of Klink, Ferroseed, and Boldore appeared. Just then we were under attack by the wild Pokémon, the Klink all used discharge and the Ferroseed all used flash cannon. For a final recipe the Boldore all used Rockslide.

Sonia: I'm not sure if I'm supposed to feel sorry for anyone that's not named Pearl. I mean, Topaz is whiny, and Cilan's a pod person.

I awoke to find myself on the end result of a rock slide attack,

Miyuki: Uh... shouldn't he have some broken bones or something?
Benimaru: Logic doesn't exist. Then again, this is the Pokémon universe. The humans are practically made of steel.

I looked around to see an unconscious Pearl but Topaz was nowhere in sight.

Tomoko: Good!

"PEARL" I cried out as I ran to him, shaking him till he revived.

Benimaru: Well, his brain must be severely rattled by now.

"What happened?" Pearl asked as he shot up "We were attacked but enough about that I can't find Topaz" I responded quite shaken.

Miyuki: Uh... I don't know how I'm supposed to interpret that.
Sonia: If somebody interprets that, they'd probably imagine Cilan dropping Pearl on the rocks or something. I don't know, honestly.

"Shit… She must be on the other side of the rock slide, Raylord is she there?" Pearl asked as his Luxray attempted to scan through the rocks. "Lux lux ray" it responded

Benimaru: *as Raylord, sips tea while wearing a monocle* I believe that Topaz isn't there, young Pearl.

"No good she's not anywhere nearby" Pearl sighed. "She wouldn't just get up and leave… Something must have happened" I spoke with concern "You're right… We need to break through and look for her."

Tomoko: No, you don't. Leave her.

Pearl turned to face me I nodded in reply as we sent out our Pokémon. Pansage used dig and Pearl's Infernape used mach punch to punch down the walls and after we got through we started to search.

Miyuki: Well, there goes the habitat. Who wants lunch?

"Cilan… there is something I need to ask you…" Pearl stuttered I turned to look at him as he froze in his tracks. "Yeah what is it?" I asked even though I knew what he was going to ask.

Sonia: *narrows her eyes* So why didn't you say it, you ninny?

"You're in love with Topaz aren't you?" Pearl looked at me with a serious look on his face.

Benimaru: No, he's an alien from one of Jupiter's moons. Of course he's in love with Topaz!
Miyuki: Well, considering how dull Cilan's been, he could be an alien from one of Jupiter's moons.

"I… Uh… Yes… I am in love with her" I replied a bit nervously.

Tomoko: *bored* Whoa, what a revelation.

"Just checking" Pearl grinned, "Wait that's it, aren't you in love with her too?" I questioned "Not really, thing is I care about her and I can't lie and say I don't have feelings for her. Though I know she doesn't see me that way, the two of us have a great friendship I would never want to ruin that, but I want her to be happy so I think you should tell her." Pearl replied

Sonia: *angrily explodes into ash*
Tomoko: *suddenly surprised* What the hell?
Miyuki: *calmly sweeps Sonia up*
Benimaru: Sounds like she's been taking a few tips from her brother there.

"You think? I mean I have been in love with her since we first met… Though I don't want to ruin anything either…" I smiled though inside felt more like crying.

Sonia: *reforms herself* Of course that's what would happen. Both of the guys love the bland woman after who knows how long, and this story is so boring.

"Idiot, don't think that; it's Topaz you are talking about, either way we need to find her" Pearl reassured me by placing his hand on my shoulder.

Miyuki: No, we don't! Leave her! Leave her!

"Thanks Pearl…" I smiled back. "There was something else I was considering…" Pearl turned to face me again. "What is it?" I questioned; having no clue what he was going to say this time.

Tomoko: *mutters* Nobody has any clue where their missing brain cells are, either.

"Well I was considering challenging all of the gyms in the Unova region and take part in the Unova league. So when you two would head back to Kanto I would stay here; I have 2 badges already." Pearl replied with an earnest look to him.

Benimaru: *woodenly* Wow, what a secret. *normal voice* Besides, I don't think that any trainer would get two badges and then quit.
Sonia: It's also a convenience. Think about it. The "third wheel" leaves, and the two pod people can... blush all day. I guess the only good thing from all of this is that it didn't turn into a stupid tug of war.

"I think that's great Pearl; I know you will do amazing." "You think so?" Pearl laughed; just then Pearl's Luxray cried out. "What is it? Did you locate Topaz?" Pearl questioned;

Tomoko: *in a very bored tone* No, the Luxray just saved fifteen percent on his car insurance.

"Lux ray" Luxray nodded in reply. "Let's get going then" I commented as we both nodded in agreement.

"TOPAZ" we both called out after knocking down the wall. "You guys came to find me?" Topaz cried as she ran to hug us both,

Benimaru, Miyuki, Tomoko: *facepalms*
Sonia: *angrily explodes*
Benimaru: *sighs, sweeps Sonia up* I'm wondering if Topaz is a little bit... dense.
Tomoko: That's because she is dense, Nikaido.

"Of course idiot" Pearl smiled back. "Are you okay?" I asked "Don't worry I am okay, the Pokémon only wanted my help" she smiled.

Miyuki: Huh? She was whining about going into the cave and now she's all buddies with the little Pokémon in the cave?
Sonia: *reforms, explodes again*
Tomoko: Hedgehog, you're gonna have to cut that spontaneous combustion out. I'm already tired of shaking your ashes out of my hair.
Miyuki: *sweeps Sonia up* Sonia, you're gonna get a stroke or something if you keep this up. Besides, we're almost done here.
Sonia: *reforms* Fine.

"What do you mean?" Pearl asked. "Well you see there was an injured Joltik and they somehow knew I had potion with me." Topaz explained.

Tomoko: Are you freakin' kiddin' me?! They did all that for a potion?!
Miyuki: I'm starting to believe that Topaz made them dumber by her mere presence.

I could see all of the Pokémon around her and they all looked really happy. She must have helped them out a lot.

Benimaru: Yes, she can solve the world's problems with a single snap, and I'm tired. Yes, I'm tired.

"Well I don't know about the two of you but I am about ready to get out of this cave." Pearl grinned; "Yeah" Topaz and I both replied as we then headed out of the cave to the next city.

Sonia: I hope they landed in Glitch City. Are there any new chapters?
Miyuki: *surfing* At this time... nope.
Sonia: Good.
